Cymraeg is one of the strongest minority languages in Europe and is believed to be the oldest surviving language in Europe. It can still be seen and heard in communities all across Flintshire today, and regardless of your ability, there are many places where you can get involved.

Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau

Here in Cymru, we love singing the Welsh National anthem “Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau (Land of My Fathers)", whether we can speak Cymraeg or not.

You can hear the anthem being sung passionately and with pride before rugby matches and other national events. Listening to crowds singing the anthem can be a very moving and emotional experience.
