Christine Jones, said:
“This is the second time we have held these awards and they have proved very
successful as they help raise the profile of this condition and show what
organisations can do to make life easier for people with dementia and their
families. It continues the great work being done throughout the county, for
example the opening of memory cafes.”
Cathy Peach, Chair of the Mold group, said:
“Our group has worked really hard hard to raise awareness of dementia with the
help of the Alzheimer’s Society and is committed to working with local
businesses, schools and community groups to ensure that Mold is a place where
people with dementia are understood, respected, supported and confident that
they can contribute to the life of the town.
“Our group has been extremely well supported by the team at Flintshire County
Council’s Social Services Department.”
