Flintshire County Council is preparing for a programme of surface dressing
works to improve the rural highway network which will be undertaken during
April/May.
The County will be investing £400k at various sites across the network and once
the sites for treatment are confirmed, this information will be published on
the Councils website.
Flintshire County Councils Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Streetscene
and Transportation, Courncillor Bernie Attridge, said:
‘’We are pleased to be able to invest in highway infrastructure in this way and
maintain the road network to a standard that the residents of Flintshire have
become accustomed to.”
And the Council has recently completed works to improve the junction of the
A5026, LLoc.
The works involved remodelling the junction with the installation of a traffic
island, including improved signage and the installation of LED street lighting.
This scheme will improve visibility and changes to the road layout will allow
vehicles to safely carry out their desired manoeuvre with the intention of
reducing traffic collisions at this recognised accident cluster site.
Cllr Attridge said:
I am pleased that the Council has been successful in gaining funding from
Welsh Government for this important road safety improvement scheme.
