Free Webinars offer key marketing tips to Flintshire businesses

Published: 20/04/2021

Webinarsmall.jpgFlintshire County Council has joined forces with local company Outwrite PR to help local businesses prepare to reopen as we ease out of lockdown.

The past year has been incredibly difficult for all of us, but no more so than town centre businesses, local food and drink producers and the hospitality and tourism sectors.

To help businesses get back on track, we are holding two free webinars and inviting local businesses to sign up and come along.  Both webinars will run for 30 minutes and should prove a useful addition to local business owners’ plans already being put in place.

Dates and times are as follows and will take place via ZOOM:

• Tuesday 4 May 10am

• Tuesday 11 May 10am

The first will feature Laurence Edwards from Black Mountain Honey and will focus on how to generate content for social media (beyond simply publishing sales messages and offers or discounts).   This will help you to build relationships and trust with your key audience(s) and customers.

Laurence says:

“We believe social media is a powerful tool in forging lasting connections with local businesses. We enjoy promoting local food producers through our social media channels as this strengthens Flintshire's position as a 'foodie' destination and helps guide consumers towards local produce.”

Webinar two will take place a week later and focus the entire digital footprint and how to build engaging content for cost-effective results.  This webinar will help you ensure there is a consistently high-quality brand image across all forms of marketing.  Local business owner Stephen Thorp from A Pesto will be there to talk about his experiences and highlight what has worked well for his business.

Stephen says:

“We’re really excited to share our experience and knowledge on this webinar. We love engaging with customers as well as other businesses on social media and we believe it’s important to help empower them as we come out of lockdown.”

To sign up, go to Eventbrite link.  You will be asked to specify your language choice and you will receive an invitation and link to join the webinar.  If you are unable to attend on the dates above but would still like to view the webinars, they will be available to view after the event (more details to follow).

If you have any questions, please email anthony@outwrite.co.uk  or sharon.barlow@flintshire.gov.uk.  We look forward to seeing you there!
