New Chairman

Flintshire County Council has today (Tuesday 12 May) elected Councillor Ray
Hughes as Chairman.
Cllr Ray Hughes has represented Leeswood since 2008. He was a councillor for
Delyn Borough Council and has also been a community councillor for over 40
years. He is married to Gwenda and has three sons.
A former joiner, Cllr Hughes is very actively involved in his local community
and is very interested in football and sport generally.
The Vice-Chairman for the coming 12 months will be Councillor Peter Curtis.
Councillor Curtis represents Holywell Central and has been a member of
Flintshire County Council since 1995. He was the Councils Chairman in 2005/6.
He is also a member of Holywell Town Council, three times serving as Mayor.
Councillor Curtis lives in Holywell and is married to Jenny with two children.
