Recognising unpaid carers
Published: 08/06/2020
During Carers Week, Flintshire County Council wants to recognise the thousands of carers across the county who provide unpaid care and support to their loved ones every single day.
A carer is someone who provides or intends to provide care for an adult or disabled child.
Right now, we know that the impact of the current situation will be placing additional pressure on all of them. We, along with our partners and carer delivery organisations, are here to help in any way we can. We have adapted the way we support unpaid carers and we can offer support and guidance along with practical and emotional help - carers shouldn’t struggle alone.
This week, we want to virtually celebrate and raise the visibility of unpaid carers. They provide incredible and vital support for their friends and family members, and everyone should recognise and appreciate the important work they do.
There are many ways you can get involved to celebrate and join us virtually in Carers Week 2020, for the latest information head to our carers gateway: NEWCIS 01352 752525, www.newcis.org.uk or follow them on social media:
