Jeff Wynne and Rob Edwards.jpgJeff and Rob have many years of valuable experience between them and are ready, willing and able to help you find the right job.

Jeff started with Communities for Work in October last year, previously working as a Learning Disabilities Support Worker, supporting severely disabled adults in their homes and in the community.  Jeff says:

“I have a wealth of experience of working with socially and economically disadvantaged people, my most recent role in this sector was as an Employment Mentor with Wirral Development Trust - a varied role which included employment support duties (writing CVs, interview skills and helping with job searches) as well as working in the community: issuing food bank vouchers, community litter picks, helping out in the community library and promoting community cycling.

“I’ve also held various roles with other Councils and the Department of Work and Pensions – all of which have given me experience of working with disadvantaged people in the labour market.  I want to use all this experience in my role as mentor to help Flintshire residents find the right job for them.  Together we make a great team, so what have you got to lose – get in touch and see what we can achieve together.”

Rob Edwards has been with the Communities for Work Team since 2017. Prior to that he worked for Cheshire West & Chester Council in various roles supporting vulnerable adults into work via the Work Choice Program. He has also held senior roles, managing the supported employment team.

Rob says:

“I have a long career history working within social and community settings.  I was born in Bahrain and educated in Hong Kong and the UK before joining HM Forces and then the Fire Service.

“Since completing my Degree in Health & Community Studies in 1996, I have over 20 years of experience working with, supporting and helping people in varying situations to achieve goals. Enabling them to move forward in their lives and to feel empowered to achieve their goals, no matter how big or small the step may be, that they have always wanted. This is immensely rewarding for me as an individual and the reason why I enjoy being a part of Communities for Work so much, the role is a varied and very satisfying one and it’s a privilege to be a part of someone’s journey.

“Our team is a great team and we work really well together.  If you 25 or over and you are looking for help to find work, even if you don’t know where to start – start with us.  Call us on 01352 704430.”
