Free training for businesses in Flintshire

Published: 04/03/2020

Flintshire County Council’s Business Development Team in partnership with Picturehouse Films recently delivered a second free training workshop for local businesses from across Flintshire.

Picturehouse is a private sector company with over 30 years of experience of producing professional high quality films for broadcast, business, advertising and digital web marketing.  As part of their corporate social responsibility strategy, Picturehouse shared some top tips and tricks aimed at improving the quality and impact of images and video clips in order to promote organisational brand and/or services.  It was a successful training programme with excellent feedback received with attendees commenting about the “good tips given from experienced practitioners which were very useful and most enjoyable”.

Kate Oldfield, producer at Picturehouse Films said:

“Video is so popular now - and it is the most powerful way to communicate, if you get it right. Picturehouse is a team of successful film and TV professionals. We’ve learnt a lot over the years. And we’re delighted to share our knowledge. Sessions are fun, friendly and packed with information. If it’s difficult to get your message heard over all the video noise out there, just a few tips can make all the difference.”

Flintshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Councillor Derek Butler, said:

“It is good to see local successful businesses giving something back to the community by running useful workshops like this. I would definitely encourage others to take the opportunity to do any future training – it’s also a great way to network with other social enterprises in Flintshire.”
