Seventeen businesses from Mold market and the local high street took advantage of an opportunity to learn more about social media at a free workshop delivered by Superfast Business Wales in partnership with Flintshire Council and Mold Town Council.
In the two-hour session, delegates were taken through the basics of social media by digital business adviser, Adam Gerrard, including:
- Introduction to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Live demos of content creator tool Canva and scheduling tool Buffer
- The benefits of Google My Business to include a live demo
- How to measure your social media activity
Fifteen of the business owners who attended the workshop have now registered onto the Superfast Business Wales business support programme to further benefit from free digital business support which will include 1-2-1 mentoring and a website review.
Karlos O’Neill, Partnership Manager, Superfast Business Wales, said:
“On the back of the success of our first workshop, I have been in talks with Flintshire Council to deliver further events to support local businesses.
“Business owners will get the chance to upskill at one of our free digital technology workshops and get more tailored advice at a 1-2-1 session with one of our digital business advisers following the workshop.
“Flintshire Council and Superfast Business Wales are working in partnership together to help local businesses in Flintshire learn how to exploit digital technology to win more customers, save money, be more streamlined and efficient, and ultimately grow.”
