Retail, Leisure, and Hospitality Rates Relief 2025/26

Flintshire County Council is continuing to work in partnership with Welsh Government to provide retail, leisure, and hospitality businesses with 40% business rates relief from April 2025, capped at £110,000 per business across Wales.

This scheme is in addition to the existing Small Business Rates Relief scheme.

There are around 800 businesses in Flintshire who are expected to qualify as part of the £3m funding package from Welsh Government.

Councillor Linda Thomas, Cabinet Member for Corporate Services said: “I am extremely pleased that Welsh Government is continuing to support our local retail, leisure, and hospitality businesses.  Our town centres play a vital role in supporting communities and this package of support will assist businesses in this sector for another 12 months."

All retail, leisure, and hospitality businesses, including existing recipients, will need to complete an online application form at www.flintshire.gov.uk/rlh to benefit from the 2025/26 relief scheme.
