Flintshire Council on the move

Published: 21/11/2018

Further to an announcement earlier this year regarding the demolition of Phases 3 and 4 of County Hall in Mold, Council officers will start to move into the Council offices in Ewloe, known as Ty Dewi Sant, next week.

It is important to note which departments are moving and when, in case you need to contact the Council. All email addresses and telephone numbers will remain the same, in order to maintain continuity of service.

Social Services will be the first department to move, during the week of 26 November.

Education Services will move on 4 December, with Planning, Environment and Economy moving the following week 10-14 December.

Ty Dewi Sant has a visitor car park at the front of the building and is part of the St David’s Park development which creates a strong locational link and provides a visible demonstration of the Council’s commitment to the Welsh language.

County Hall in Mold is an old building which has served its purpose effectively for many years. However, it is also an expensive building to run and the Council has looked at all the options it has available, to create efficiencies in this challenging financial climate. This move provides a modern, cost effective base for our staff to maintain high quality services for the future.

We have made every effort to avoid any disruption and ensure a seamless move for these key services.
