Carriageway Resurfacing of A549 Mold Road, Mynydd Isa
Published: 30/10/2018
Flintshire County Council will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing and associated works at A549 Mold Road, Mynydd Isa between Wylfa roundabout and Chambers Lane starting on Tuesday, 6 November 2018 for approximately 3 weeks.
A temporary one way restriction will be in place prohibiting vehicles from travelling towards Buckley from Mold, from its junction with A494 roundabout to Chambers Lane. The one way restriction will be in place to ensure the safety of the workforce and the highway user. The road will need to be closed completely for a period of 3 days at the end of the project, these dates will be confirmed nearer the time.
Traffic will be diverted via the A494(T) Mold Bypass, A494(T) Mold Road to Ewloe roundabout and B5127 Liverpool Road.
Access to individual properties and businesses will be maintained although short delays may be encountered.
Flintshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Streetscene and Countryside, Councillor Carolyn Thomas, said:
“On behalf of Flintshire County Council and our contractor, Roadway Civil Engineering, I would like to apologise for any delay and disruption that may be caused as a consequence of this essential maintenance work and we will carry out the work as quickly as possible.
“This is another road resurfacing scheme in the current programme and is one of many schemes being undertaken in the Buckley area which will provide long term benefits to local residents and road users once completed.”
