Published: 12/07/2023
Cabinet Members will be asked to approve the Food Service Plan 2023-24 when it meets on Tuesday 18 July.
The Food Service Plan provides an overview of the Food Service in line with the Framework Agreement on Official Feed and Food Controls by Local Authorities April 2010.
Flintshire is pleased to report on its progress against the Framework Agreement that provides a consistent food law enforcement service throughout the UK.
Speaking ahead of the meeting, Cabinet Member for Planning, Public Health and Public Protection, Councillor Chris Bithell, said:
“The Food Safety and Standards Team and Animal Health Team has achieved so much in the past 12 months.
Our targets for the year ahead include a range of activities including hygiene inspections, delivering a regional project on the selling of American Imported Confectionary and Drinks in small retailers and to inspect all Feed businesses.
I congratulate officers who have contributed to the achievement of key targets over the past 12 months and for their Continuing Professional Development required by the Food Law Code of Practice.”
