Draft Local Toilet Strategy 2023

Published: 05/06/2023

Flintshire County Council is currently reviewing its local toilet strategy and assess communities’ need for the provision of accessible toilets within Flintshire.

Provision of public toilets is not a statutory duty, but the Council recognises the importance of toilet facilities to residents, visitors and the economy.

Published in 2019, the Flintshire local toilet strategy aimed to assess the quality and quantity of local toilets throughout the county and ensure the provision of clean, safe, accessible and sustainable toilets for residents and visitors to the county.  The Council has a responsibility to assess the community’s need for the provision of accessible toilets within the county.

Flintshire residents are being invited to comment on the strategy detailing the provision of public toilets across the county.  This will assist the review, assess the current provision and identify need across the county.

Please respond by 26 June 2023.

Responses will be considered by the Council’s Cabinet prior to a final decision being made on the strategy.
