Looking for Support? Need advice about what is available locally to assist with an existing health condition?
Come along to the Flintshire Health and Well Being event in Connah’s Quay Civic Hall to see what is in the area
Communities For Work Plus Flintshire and Jobcentre Plus are bringing together local health care providers from a wide range of service providers to the Civic Hall in Connah’s Quay from 10am to 1pm on Wednesday 26 September 2018.
Flintshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Councillor Derek Butler, said:
“This event began four years ago and has provided support to many local residents. In 2017, this event attracted over 400 attendees. It has been developed to support individuals in Flintshire who live with a health condition, or who care for someone with a health condition and brings service providers to local people giving them the opportunity to meet these services face to face.“Last year the event was supported by over 33 health care organisations who gave advice and support to over 400 local residents.”
There will be plenty of practical advice on hand. Health conditions covered range from mental health care, epilepsy, diabetes, sight and hearing impairments, carers’ organisations, learning disabilities and veteran support. There will also be opportunities to discuss voluntary work with local organisations.
