Safe Routes in the Community – Broughton Hall Road
Published: 06/07/2018
Flintshire County Council has been successful in obtaining funding from Welsh
Government to address road safety concerns on Broughton Hall Road. The scheme
proposals include a 20mph zone with traffic calming features.
Flintshire County Council would like to welcome residents to attend a Public
Consultation Drop-In Event where Council officers will be available to talk
through the proposals and answer questions.
The consultation will take place at Broughton and Bretton Community Centre, 1
Brookes Avenue, Broughton CH4 0RD on Tuesday 12 July 2018 between 3.30pm and
7pm.
Councillor Carolyn Thomas, Cabinet Member for Streetscene and Countryside, said
“The scheme will improve safety and accessibility for children attending
Broughton Primary School whilst also benefiting the local community using the
services and facilities in this area. The scheme also has wider benefits as it
forms part of a broader proposal to implement cycling provision between Mold
and Broughton and onward to Sandycroft and Saltney.”
