Flintshire Local Access Forum

Countryside.jpgWould you like your voice heard in the debate about the future of public access in the countryside?

We are keen to hear from anyone interested in joining the new Flintshire Local Access Forum.

We are interested in people who have experience in the management of the countryside, such as farmers, or people who regularly use the countryside, such as walkers, horseriders, bikers or off roaders.

The function of the Forum is to advise Flintshire County Council and others about the improvement of public access to land in the area for the purposes of open-air recreation and the enjoyment of the area. This includes improvement to the public rights of way and the right of access to open country and registered common land.

The Forum meets 4 times a year, normally during the day. It is important that members can attend all meetings. These are unpaid positions, but Forum members will be able to claim reasonable travel expenses.

Any person wishing to be considered for membership can obtain further details from a member of the Access Team - publicrightsofway@flintshire.gov.uk
