Parkway station

Parkway is the proposed new railway station in the Deeside Enterprise Zone. This station will be positioned on the Wrexham to Bidston Line and have direct access into the park. The station will have links to a shuttle service which will commute around all four zones and the proposed Northern Gateway development. Flintshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Streetscene and Countryside, Councillor Carolyn Thomas went on a recent visit to the site with Streetscene officers who have worked hard on the metro concept and plans, and are now project managing delivery working in partnership with Welsh Government. “It is great that the railway line into the park is going to be utilised. This station will be beneficial to many people already working in the zone and will potentially open up the opportunity for more people to be able to access work here from other parts of Flintshire and beyond. The Active Travel Policy for Deeside Industrial Park is well under way the development of a proposed Train Station.
