Car park improvements
Published: 27/04/2018
As part of the council house improvement work taking place in Flintshire, the
latest in a series of car park improvements has been completed in Bagillt.
Although it was not a legal requirement to do this work, the Council saw an
opportunity to improve the surroundings, increase residents’ safety and add to
the residents’ quality of life.
The Deputy Leader of Flintshire County Council and Cabinet Member for Housing,
Councillor Bernie Attridge, recently visited Bron Haul in Bagillt with local
member, Councillor Mike Reece, to see the work for himself. He said:
“Flintshire was the first Council to start building council homes in a
generation which shows how committed we are to providing quality housing for
our residents. We are also continuing our programme of improvements to all our
existing council properties by updating their kitchens, bathrooms, windows and
other external features. In addition to that, we are carrying out other
exterior improvement work which includes creating suitable car parking
facilities for our residents.”
Councillor Mike Reece said:
“This car park improvement is great for the area and the local residents. I’d
like to thank the housing team for a job well done!”
These improvements in Bagillt come on the back of other schemes across the
county at the Prince of Wales Court complex in Buckley, in the Strand in
Holywell and Heron Close in Broughton which have been widely welcomed by
residents.
