Open Call for artists to work with Criw Celf North Wales
Criw Celf North Wales originated in Gwynedd in 2007 and has been a partnership
between Anglesey Council, Conwy County Borough Council, Denbighshire County
Council, Flintshire County Council and Wrexham County Borough Council since
2012 to make it the first pan-North Wales visual art project targeted at more
able and talented (MAT) young artists.
A series of six workshops will be on offer to each participant working at
inspirational sites across the region. We are looking for highly experienced
professional artists, makers and creative practitioners to run workshops
looking at a variety of artistic techniques and working with a range of
materials. Each county will have 3 Criw Celf groups running, year 5 and 6, year
7 and 8 and year 9 and all participants will be selected through an application
process.
We are also looking for artists to run workshops as part of the Portfolio, for
GCSE Students, and Raising the Bar, for AS and A level students, programme.
Criw Celf North Wales invites artists, makers and creative practitioners to
send an expression of interest letter by email, for our 2017/18 programme.
You should include a proposal for a masterclass and what materials and
techniques will be used. Please also state which counties in North Wales you
are applying to work in. The fee per day is £250 inclusive of materials, travel
and subsistence.
The deadline for ‘Expressions of Interest’ accompanied by an up-to-date CV is
31 August 2017.
Criw Celf is funded by The Arts Council of Wales and each of the six North
Wales Local Authorities.
