Drury Primary School Development
The Council has been seeking your views on a proposal to enlarge the school site and increase the number of school places that are available at Drury Primary School.
The Council proposes to deliver the additional school places by:
Increasing the capacity of Drury Primary School from its current provision of 124 full time school places to 180 full time school places, an overall increase of 56 full time places from 1 September 2024.
The proposal would result in the school’s admission number increasing from 17 pupils per year group to 25 pupils per year group. The increase in capacity would be delivered through an extension to the existing school building. It is proposed that the implementation of the new school capacity would be put in place after the building works are completed by 1 September 2024.
The formal consultation period commenced on 1 March 2022 and ended on 11 April 2022.
The consultation report summarising the issues raised during consultation alongside the Council's response was made available at the links below.
A Statutory Notice for the proposal was issued, the statutory notice period ran from 29 September 2022 to 27 October 2022 during which time any person was able to object to the proposal. No objections were received for this proposal.
