Flintshire Community Parents is a home-visiting programme. It is designed to enable families to make choices that are right for them and improve health outcomes. The project is open to anyone who is a parent or carer of one or more children – regardless of age or circumstances.

When you join the programme, you will be visited by another parent for a friendly and informal meeting. You will be able to share concerns, worries and ideas about parenting in a confidential way. Further visits, with the same parent or from others, can be arranged as and when you wish.

We hope that by linking parents together, we can reduce isolation, promote social wellbeing, and increase confidence. We also have details of other services which might be able to support you, which we can pass on to you if you ask.

ChildLine is a helpline especially for children and young people. When you phone us, you'll be able to speak to someone who cares about your problems. The counsellors are all trained - we will listen to you and try to help you.

Calls to ChildLine are confidential - you can talk about whatever you want to and we won't tell anyone else, unless you want us to. Your ChildLine counsellor will only take action if they feel your life is in danger. If you're scared or feel out of control, that's OK. You can tell us.

Speaking out about problems or talking about your feelings can be really difficult, but it's the right thing to do. Think about how much better you will feel if you can talk about it with someone in confidence. It's our job to listen to you and sometimes to put you in touch with someone else who can help you – if that’s ok with you.

TheSite.org aims to be the first place all young people turn to when they need support and guidance. It believes you should make your own decisions and life choices, and can help you through giving general information and advice. It won't tell you how to lead your life - but believes everybody should have all the information they need to make their own decisions.

TheSite.org is split into sections including sex and relationships, health and wellbeing, and drink and drugs. There are message boards for you to discuss problems with other site users, as well as useful articles, videos, and surveys.

If you can’t find the information you need, you can email TheSite.org a question. We will pass your question onto an expert from one of our partner organisations who will email you a personal reply with three working days.
