Join thousands of people across Wales for wildlife-themed public events and be
inspired by Welsh wildlife! Celebrate the amazing wildlife diversity in Wales.
From birds and bees in our gardens, coastal flowers and birds to pond and river
life – Welsh wildlife is stunning in its variety. Events are taking place
throughout Wales from guided nature walks, nature trail challenges, nature
themed picnics , hands on activities and wildlife advice and family discovery
days. Suitable for all ages, events are a great way to learn about the natural
environment on your doorstep and its importance to our well-being.
Flintshire will be hosting or supporting a number of free events including:
· Nature themed teddy bears picnic at Wepre park in the education area this
Friday – Friday 9th June from 3:30 – drop in after school for some hands on
activities and refreshments and don’t forget teddy!
· A Treasure hunt at Greenfield Valley Heritage Park – Saturday 10th June 10am
til 12
· And we’ll be discovering more exciting nature at the Rhydymwyn Valley Family
discovery day on Sunday 11th June 10am – 4pm just drop in for a fantastic
variety of art and natural history displays and hands on activities!
