Holywell Library and Leisure Hub
Published: 11/01/2017
The new Holywell Library and Leisure hub is now open for business.
Last year, Holywell Library received £120,000 funding from Welsh Government to
help develop and enhance services. This allowed Flintshire County Council to
move the library into the Leisure Centre to create a central hub offering a
range of services.
Flintshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Education, Councillor Chris
Bithell, who recently visited the new facility, said:
“This new state-of-the-art hub is very welcoming and will encourage and attract
new users, especially young children with activity spaces, free Wi-Fi and
learning spaces. People will be able to sit and read or access the computers
while waiting for family members who are using other facilities at the centre.”
“Having the leisure centre and library in the same location has worked very
well in Deeside and means that the centre can be open longer and customers can
access a wider range of services in one convenient place.”
The new library contact number is 01352 703850.
