The Manor Play Area improvements
Published: 29/02/2016
Since 2010, the local authority has worked in partnership with town and
community councils to successfully deliver a match funding programme which has
resulted in over £1m being invested for improvements to the county’s play
facilities.
For 2015/16, a total of £105,000 was made available by Flintshire County
Council and the latest improvements under this programme have been completed at
The Manor Play Area in Bagillt which has recently undergone a £10k
refurbishment.
The play area has had a significant upgrade with the installation of a range of
new play equipment items including a new multi-play structure with slide,
swings (including a basket swing), a seesaw, a dish roundabout, springers and
seating for parents and carers.
Cllr. Kevin Jones, Cabinet Member for Leisure said,
“I am delighted at the improvements made to the play area and I am sure that
they will prove popular with local children and their families.
“I would like to acknowledge the support and cooperation of Bagillt Community
Council in working with Flintshire County Council to make these much needed
improvements to the play area possible. This reflects the continued support for
the programme over many years by Town and Community Councils across Flintshire.”
