Funding to improve broadband
Published: 05/05/2020
The New Digital Officer for Flintshire and Wrexham Councils, funded by Cadwyn Clwyd, has been successful in assisting a Flintshire business to access grant funding to improve broadband for their premises.
Premier Vend in Deeside contacted Michael Dugine for advice as they were changing to a voice over internet protocol and were struggling with slow internet speeds.
Michael advised them on options to improve the speed by using the Welsh Government’s Access Broadband Cymru Grant to make it more affordable for them. This has not only helped the business to gain higher broadband speeds but also to remain in the County after considering moving to a better broadband area.
Darren Herbert from Premier Vend said: “The new 4G system has been installed today and its working great. I can’t believe it’s taken this long before we knew about this grant and the 4G system. I can safely say that’s it’s solely down to you that we will now forget about relocating our business to Cheshire and stay at our current location in Deeside. Thank you so much for your help and keep up the good work, I am sure you will be a blessing to small business across North Wales.”
