Highway funding bids

Flintshire County Council has recently submitted bids to Welsh Government for funding through various initiatives to address highway accident sites, provide sustainable highway infrastructure projects and safe access to schools and communities. The bids cover a wide range of schemes including the Queensferry Roundabout/ Asda / Station Rd junction improvement and the provision of a footway on Bryn Road linking Bryn Y Baal to Alltami Road, which will provide a pedestrian link between the two local communities. Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Environment, Councillor Bernie Attridge said: All of the schemes have been identified and prioritised to ensure we are bidding for those in most need in the County. The Bryn Road footway scheme has been identified as a road safety priority for Flintshire County Council and has full backing from the local school whose pupils use the route. I am fully behind this proposal and the bid to Welsh Government for funding support.
