Published: 15/08/2024

Students at all school based sixth forms in Flintshire are celebrating as the class of 2024 receive their examination grades.

Councillor Mared Eastwood, Cabinet Member for Education, Welsh Language and Culture said:

"The Council warmly congratulates all post 16 learners in Flintshire on their hard work in achieving their results.

“I know that these young people have worked hard, and I hope the qualifications they receive today enable them to move to the next step of their journey, whether in education, training or employment. I am delighted for all of them and wish them every success.

As we celebrate these results, we acknowledge the commitment and professional support of our schools and teachers in preparing their students for their exams, and the support given by their parents and carers over many years.”

Chief Officer, Education and Youth, Claire Homard, said:

I would like to congratulate all our post -6 learners on their results this year.

“Today is the culmination of years of hard work undertaken by Flintshire’s students and the skill and dedication of their staff in preparing them for their examinations. Each young person can be very proud of their achievements, and I wish them every success in their future.

“I acknowledge the support of their families as well in guiding them throughout their studies.

Our very dedicated school staff will continue to offer support and advice to learners over the next few days and weeks as they make choices about their future pathways.”
