Queens honours list

Vice Chair of Flintshire County Council, Councillor Ray Hughes congratulated two Flintshire residents at County Hall who have received awards in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List. Mrs. Derryn Blanchard from Holywell was given a British Empire Medal (BEM) in recognition of services to elderly people. Mr Gordon Barnabus was also awarded a BEM for services to the community in Holywell. Councillor Ray Hughes said: “I am delighted to congratulate Mrs Blanchard and Mr Barnabus who have been truly recognised for all the wonderful charity work they do for the people of Flintshire.
