Councillor Gladys Healey has been appointed as Chair of Flintshire County Council.
Councillor Healey has represented the ward of Hope since 2017. She has lived in Hope for 37 years and is a Governor of Castell Alun High School and Ysgol Estyn.
Councillor Healey previously worked in a number of care settings including the Surgical and Orthopaedic Departments of Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
She is married to Dave and has two daughters and three grandchildren.
