Pay & Display Car Parking

Pay and Display parking is a good parking tool which, through the use of appropriate charging, encourages commuters to the car parks on the periphery of the centre, whilst promoting proximity spaces for short stay.

Paying for Parking

Can I pay by cash?

Yes, all of the chargeable car parks have Pay and Display machines in place so you can use coins to pay for your parking. The machines do not give change so please ensure you have the correct change. The machines do not accept notes.

Can I pay by card?

Card payments can only be taken by Pay and Display Machines in New Street car park, Mold, King Street car park, Mold and the Railway Station car park, Flint. 

Can I pay by phone/app?

Yes, you can now pay to park at all Flintshire car parks using the PayByPhone app on your smartphone or by calling 0330 1096182

The PayByPhone app is available to download from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. More information can be found here: https://paybyphone.co.uk/

The app is quick and easy to install and use, with registration only taking 30 seconds to complete.The system gives you the flexibility to extend your parking sessions remotely, notify you when your session is coming to an end and you can also locate car parks on the app before you set off, and once you’re parked, pin you location so you can easily find your car later.

There is a minimal charge of 6 pence per transition for this service

When paying for parking we ask that motorists stay vigilant and ensure they always uses official channels to download the app i.e., app store or that the correct website is used which will show a padlock next to the web address to show it is secure.

Coach Parking

There are five coach spaces at New Street car park, Mold, which are available on a first come first served basis. Coaches can use these spaces free of charge. 

Car park maintenance

We are responsible for maintaining all council-owned car parks in Flintshire.  Although regular inspections capture most of the defects that occur, sometimes damage can occur between inspections.  If you notice a defect please report it and an ad-hoc inspection and remedial work can be carried out.  Faults with pay and display machines are normally identified when they are emptied and tested.
